This blog is a final project for the Class ARCH0770: Food and Drink in Classical Antiquity taught by Susan Alcock at Brown University in the Fall of 2013.
This blog is based on olives in antiquity and now. I will be looking at the role olives play in food and society in these two different times. I will also look at changes in production, uses, and significance between the two periods. Information will be collected by going to various stores and shops and documenting what I find. Information will also come from a few books and things we have discussed in class. Everything on this blog is assumed to be mine unless otherwise cited.
